Get StartedI started tutoring almost by accident. My little cousin was struggling with fractions in fifth grade, and everyone in the family had already tried to help and sort of given up on it. I sat down with her for maybe an hour one Sunday afternoon, and by the end she was doing her homework on her own and actually smiling about it. That feeling stuck with me.
Since then I've tutored all kinds of students, from grade schoolers just getting the hang of fractions to college students working through calculus, plus a few adults brushing up for a certification exam or just for fun. What I've noticed over and over is that almost nobody actually hates math. People hate feeling lost, whether that's in a classroom of thirty kids or a lecture hall of two hundred, too embarrassed to raise a hand and ask the one question that would clear everything up.
That's really the whole idea behind these lessons. It's just you (or your child) and me, on a video call, going at whatever pace makes sense. If we need to spend twenty minutes on one concept, we spend twenty minutes on it. If you're ready to move faster, we move faster. Nobody else is waiting on you.
